What They’re Worth
Charlotte is now a little over TWO MONTHS old. It felt like she would never ever come at the end, like time had frozen and we were going to have to wait forever. But now we’ve enjoyed two months worth of new excitement, new worries, and new experiences. We’ve enjoyed learning what it’s like to, in the blink of an eye, love someone in a way we could never have imagined. We’ve been eyewitnesses to little-big moments in Charlotte’s life. There have been so many firsts, first breath, first cry, first bath, first smile, first walk, first tears. This weeks Scenic Sunday comes from Summit Avenue. The University Club is located right on the corner of Summit Avenue and Ramsey Street, one of the craziest corners to drive through in St. Paul. We’ve never been inside, but it looks like an amazing place for a wedding (or anything else)! This image was taken at sunset with the sun behind the camera, which is why the reflections in the windows are purple and orange. The quality of light during a beautiful sunset is wonderful. Good evening everyone! This week’s post is a result of an awesome tip from Madie’s mom. She told us that we had to go and see Jim Campbell’s Scattered Light art display in St. Paul. It was pretty amazing! When you step back, all of these hanging LED lights display patterns that look like shadows walking by. It was really interesting to see, and we fully recommend it! We are SO excited to meet our little girl. Just about everything is ready. The doctor told us today that everything is going as good as it can and that she could come any minute now. It’s getting so hard to be patient and we grow more anxious every day. This past weekend (which would have been week 37!) we bought a wireless remote for our camera and drove down to Cannon Falls MN for a maternity session with Madie. (Cannon Falls is where Madie lived as a little baby, how appropriate!) It was a wonderfully fun time together, just the three of us, and a perfect way to capture this most special time in our lives.
