This view of St. Paul was taken off of the Mendota Bridge. It’s a very noisy place to take pictures, plus there are bikers flying by on the walking path constantly. Earlier this week I was sitting in Dunn Bros downtown St. Paul waiting for an awesome couple to arrive and talk wedding details. I snapped this while enjoying a delicious decaf. Coffee shops are our mobile meeting space right now, and this is one of our favorites! Madie & and have enjoyed many a good conversations at this very shop (Madie always sits in the chair in the very left side of the frame that’s cut off..). This shot was taken off of the little bridge in St. Paul that connects Raspberry Island to the rest of the world. We were happy to have such warm and soft light. Plus, houseboats are just so interesting – they seem like snowflakes.. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two of the same. Hopefully you’re weekend was great and your week will be amazing! This is the latest St. Paul skyline shot we’ve taken. It was a VERY humid evening and we had just shot Lottie’s one-month photos. The sky was beautiful though and this shot was worth the extra sweat. :) It was the first chance we had to use Viveza 2 to add a little pizazz to the image. It was on sale so we picked it up. Although it doesn’t do anything you cannot accomplish in Photoshop, it speeds things up soooo much it’s already been very worth it. The ‘Shadow adjustment’ is awesome for taking the shadows out of eye sockets, and that alone would make it a worthy addition to our ‘natural light’ photography toolkit.
