Please enjoy the third installment of our Art Crawlers project. (See Part 1 and Part 2 also) There is a little behind the scenes look below as well!
A great group of people, right? Please leave a comment with your thoughts! Now, for a little look at how these images were made..
This was my setup. One large octobox, high and to the side, against an ugly collapsible 5-in-1 reflector. I used the black side of the reflector because it would be the easiest to hide later. Those things always have wrinkles, so as part of my post-processing I just burned the background down to near black and that hid all of the wrinkles.I positioned the octabox so that it would be up and to the side, but so that it would still through some light into subjects faces that were further from the light. It was quick and simple but gave me light I’m very pleased with. Feel free to leave any questions below.
Thanks for spending a few minutes here!!

I enjoyed all three parts of the series. Beautiful portraits.
Thanks very much Wanda!
Genius way to include art supporters/appreciates as part of the event…performance art! Sorry we missed your studio…
Thanks Sara! Maybe we’ll get to meet next time. :)
